A Roundtable Discussion organized by the National Foreign Language Project, Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam : Assessment Roundtable

The RoundTable Discussion organized by the NFLP at 14:00pm on October 16, 2019 at the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS).

1. Aims:
We would like to learn from the participating experts of (1) practices on ESL assessment in other countries and (2) theoretical principles of ESL assessment and implementation at different levels of the basic education systems. The expected outcome is a collection of suggestions and potential solutions for ESL assessment renovation in Vietnam.

2. Tentative Agenda:
- Discussion of international practices of ESL assessment in the basic education system in other countries;
- Discussion of theoretical principles of ESL assessment for the basic education system;
- Report on ESL assessment practices at different educational levels in Vietnam; and
- Recommendations for solutions and renovation of ESL assessment in Vietnam.
