Description
This webinar, Assessment in Action: Exploring Language Assessment Literacy Through Classroom Observation, examines the role of classroom observation as a methodological and analytical tool for researching language assessment literacy (LAL). While LAL has gained prominence as a critical domain of professional expertise, there remains limited empirical attention to how assessment constructs are enacted in classrooms. This session presents a framework for analysing assessment-in-action, focusing on how teachers generate and interpret evidence of learning, mediate feedback, and make contingent pedagogical decisions. Drawing on illustrative observational data, this webinar will consider the affordances and challenges of using observation to interrogate implicit assessment beliefs and align practice with established assessment principles.| Period | 20 Mar 2026 |
