Description
The talk ‘Bringing it home’ will look at the emergence of visual journalism. In the talk I will discuss why journalitic visual narrative emerges at this particular moment (early nineties) and what role it plays as a supplement to traditional media coverage. The title ‘Bringing it home’ means ‘to get to the heart of a matter’ and also refers to reportage drawing and visual narrative bringing news stories from the Middle East and Iraq to European audiences.
