A comparison of technology options for the dynamic response analysis of freight vehicle axle bearings. The study compared use case scenarios stemming from adoption of either on-vehicle or tracks-side monitoring systems, and undertook a cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the value for money of fleetwide rollout of bearing condition monitoring.
