This poster was presented at the Global Consortium for Public Health Research (GCPHR)'s 3rd Annual Meeting, hosted at the University of Huddersfield, UK. It communicates the findings of research to explore the lived experiences of family caregivers or people living with dementia in Ghana. It concludes that family caregivers in Ghana experience significant challenges. However, they derive meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in caregiving. There is a need to: develop caregiver support structures, train family caregivers in communication and coping strategies, and create dementia-aware communities, especially in rural Ghana.
