Description
I was one of three Expert Witnesses for the House of Commons Education Select Committee inquiry into adult skills and lifelong learning on 23rd October 2019. I gave evidence about the role and impact of community education on skills and lifelong learning. This Committee was disbanded but relaunched in 2020 with a slightly changed remit. As a result of my evidence a new term of reference was added that sought to explore ‘the role of community learning providers, and whether enough is being done to support them’. This new term will enable the important role of community education to be explored.
