Description

In this session, speakers from Swiss Re's Clinical Team and the University of Huddersfield will share insights from a 2-year knowledge transfer partnership which is bringing together academic experts in the work and health field and life insurers to develop an evidence-based approach that could help absent employees back to work earlier. The team will share how a digital RTW tool for employees could help to empower those off work to take control of their return to work planning and to achieve a sustainable and good return to work earlier than we're currently able to achieve through traditional approaches. In the team's words, "We believe that an early self-managed RTW digital tool offered as part of an enhanced income protection insurance product for insured workers has the potential to not only improve recovery timeframe and prevent long-term sickness absence, but also reduce cost on claims."
