Description
Purpose – This one-day workshop will be held on the day after the Conference (Mar 6), and bring together an invited group of experts from around the world who are attending the Conference together with selected local nutrition experts to (a) identify the areas where hydrocolloid science can impact human nutrition and health, (b) discuss how best to increase the visibility of the identified areas, and (c) agree national and international actions that can be taken to improve awareness of the opportunities that hydrocolloid science brings to human nutrition and health. The intention is that the workshop will be by invitation only, to ensure good geographical coverage and limit the size to 20-25 people so that discussion can be focussed. An important consideration is what role organisations like the Hydrocolloids Trust or other international/regional organisations could play in raising the profile of hydrocolloid science in the context of human nutrition and health.
