Invited presentation to the Healthy Housing Initiative (HHI) Leadership Forum outlining interim findings from a commissioned mental health needs assessment conducted for Kirklees Council as part of the West Yorkshire Flood Innovation Programme (WYFLIP). The presentation summarised emerging quantitative and qualitative findings on the psychological impacts of flooding, barriers to accessing support, preparedness fatigue and the role of community mutual aid. It highlighted implications for housing resilience, climate adaptation and the integration of mental health within flood preparedness and recovery planning.
