Description
The UK Government Drug Strategy 2021 highlighted the link between illicit substance use and Young People being dragged into crime and violence There is currently limited evidence on how to successfully reduce demandfor drugs in Young People.
This paper will present the findings from a project to develop and evaluate three evidence-based interventions; educational materials, 1-1 intervention and public health campaign, to reduce drug use and mitigate associated
risks. The paper will:
1. Review background and rationale for the project
2. Discuss logic model and methodology
3. Highlight impact on drug use, mental health and offending
4. Consider future research and practice implications
