Introduction to Pattern Cutting - Sustainable Fashion Week UK at Thread Republic

As part of the national initiative Sustainable Fashion Week 2025, this workshop aimed to promote sustainable values in fashion by engaging communities and individuals in alternative fashion systems, skill development and wellbeing.

Led by Debbie Allsop, Lecturer in Fashion Design at the University of Huddersfield, the workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of flat pattern cutting, dart manipulation, and Zero Waste design principles. The session was hands-on and open to beginners aged 16 and above, with all materials and equipment provided.
