Description
Syzygy is an immersive, interactive installation exploring ecological ethics, speculative terraforming, and the entangled agency of humans, technologies, and more‑than‑human systems. Drawing on participatory design, feminist improvisation, and posthuman world‑building, the work invites audiences to inhabit a hybrid physical‑digital environment where their gestures, movements, and decisions directly influence the unfolding landscape.Through tactile sculptural forms, responsive sound and light, augmented reality overlays, and ecological storytelling, Syzygy stages an experiential space for re‑imagining the future of planetary transformation. The project investigates how art can act as a testing ground for alternative environmental futures, asking audiences to consider the social, cultural, and ethical consequences of ecological intervention.
Developed through iterative trials, public workshops, and collaborative research, Syzygy positions immersive art as a means of deepening ecological imagination and cultivating collective responsibility for shared planetary futures.
