A two day conference on 'Ted Hughes and Place' that attracted the leading names in the field (Heather Clark, Terry Gifford, Neil Roberts, Mark Wormald) as keynote speakers, Andrew MacMillan as guest poet, and 21 other papers from international speakers. I organised the conference with my colleague James Underwood in partnership with the Ted Hughes Society. I myself gave a paper at the conference entitled, 'The Parochial Courage of Ted Hughes'.
