The Core Inventory of General English – Can it inform our understanding of the C levels?

The Academic Forum on English Language Testing in Asia (AFELTA) currently has 9 members including Taiwan's Language Testing and Training Center (LTTC) and College Entrance Examination Center (CEEC), China’s CET (China English Test), Japan's STEP Eiken, Korea's KICE and KELTA, Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board, and the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS). The Annual Conference of the AFELTA is a great opportunity for its member language testing institutions in Asia to share experiences and research results, to network with researchers/practitioners from the region, as well as to learn from the invited guest speakers, who are prominent scholars in the field of language testing. Each year’s AFELTA conference is hosted by one member institute on a rotating basis. Each member institute gives one or two presentations sharing with the others their latest development and research outcome at the conference.
