The Creative Loop Challenge is a competition run by TIP, a research group from the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Huddersfield, in partnership with the The Knitting & Crochet Guild and funded by IAA, AHRC and UKRI. Together, we aim to preserve and develop the rich history of knitting, crochet, and the textile industries of West Yorkshire.

Our projects—including The Creative Loop Challenge—engage a new generation with these traditional crafts, giving them a modern and relevant twist.
