Description
A 75-minute guided campus walk exploring how green and blue spaces support health and wellbeing as part of the ESRC's Festival of Social Science 2025. Participants will visit landscaped gardens, food-growing areas, waterside paths and elevated views, with each stop combining on-site features and insights from a University review of urban green space and health inequalities. The walk highlights how everyday access to nature reduces stress, boosts resilience and informs public policy in areas such as social prescribing, workplace wellbeing and urban design. Attendees will have the chance to reflect, share ideas and experience the restorative benefits of campus nature first-hand.
