"Words into Action" Guideline for the Sendai Framework

Description

The session will share successful experiences on this topic and also present the first edition of the guide “Words into Action”, aiming to serve as a contribution for countries for the implementation of the Sendai Framework. The first edition of the Words into Action, will address the key area of “Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Governance and Accountability”. The session will also consider areas of importance that will inform further editions of the “Words into Action” in the implementation of the Sendai Framework, such as the need for and how-to improve understanding of risk governance at the local level, including accountability and transparency, stakeholder participation and public awareness.
