The Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET) are delighted to announce 33 Health Partnerships as successful grantees of the Global Health Workforce Programme (GHWP) in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. THET will be the Fund Manager of the programme and Ducit Blue Solutions will be the Grant Manager within Nigeria.
Funded by the UK Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), GHWP will develop the health workforce in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria, supporting them to build stronger, more resilient health systems for post-pandemic recovery and to make progress towards universal health coverage.
Meet the GHWP grantees!
Grants will start in February 2024, and run until January 2025. Projects are being carried out by both new and existing health partnerships between the UK, operating across Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria.
The following partnerships have been successful in receiving grants:
Project Goal: To strengthen the ability of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana to oversee and regulate the professional register of nurses and midwives to ensure high quality care
