The current UK government could have its hours numbered after the resignation of Health Minister Wes Streeting, opening the possibility for him to challenge Prime Minister Keir Starmer for the leadership of the Labour Party. Streeting strongly criticised the premier, not only for the resounding blow to Labour in the local elections but also for other measures and what he called "personal mistakes". For its part, the Ministry of Education said that Starmer has the support of his cabinet.
