As per the title, this post assesses the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in Ekşioğlu and Mosturoğlu v Turkey, which deals with the disciplinary proceedings against former executives of one of Turkey’s biggest sports clubs, Fenerbahçe. In this connection, the post explores the link between criminal law and sports law within the context of disciplinary proceedings of sports governing bodies which deal with the same subject matter as criminal proceedings.
