Prof. Amaratunga along with Program Director, Disaster Mitigation and Reconstruction, Dr. Richard Haigh of Salford University visited Sri Lanka  to support capacity building in the reconstruction process. The CCI entered into a partnership with the University of Salford, UK to provide expertise in the field of Disaster Management and to provide humanitarian aid to those who have been entrapped for nearly three decades.
