A new festival in Bishop Auckland is set to shine the spotlight on community, creativity, and light.

 

Bishop Auckland’s inaugural IGNITE festival will be held from February 20 to 22, offering three days of illuminated art, storytelling, and interactive installations for people of all ages.

Later that night, a second switch-on will see a large-scale projection illuminate the Spanish Gallery, created by artist Gareth Hudson from a narrative shared with local schools and community groups, who have then created the designs.
