    Description

This article controversially argues that the extent of the geographical variation in transport spending per head is not as great as some may have us belief. London is an exception due to its importance as our national transport hub. Interestingly the North West over the past five years has received more transport spending per head than the South East. Yorkshire and the Humber have received around the UK average. In contrast the North East has received the lowest spend of any region.
