Description

"Reggae Music landed at the University of Huddersfield in celebration of the International Music Festival supported by a Pop Up Art School. Stimulating, informative and a fun day was enjoyed by all those who took part. Bikatshi Katenga reports for Kirklees Local TV on the day’s events. Sunday 29 November 2015 saw the latest Pop-up event, this one was a contribution to the prestigious Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. Held in the Creative Arts Building Atrium, the theme this time was built around Huddersfield’s thriving and internationally renowned ‘Sound System Culture’ scene of the 1970s and 1980s. The pop-up explored this through engaging with music via art, media and crafts. You really had to be there to fully appreciate not only the wonderful creative work and activities, but also the sheer logistical complexity of putting on an event like this."
