Financial times used Dr Alexandros Nikitas research to benchmark their coverage of the failure of the Mobike Manchester scheme which was the first dockless bike-sharing system ever introduced in the UK. Dr Nikitas in his research warned that not all places are paradises for bikes and offered a survival guide about how to make bike-sharing successful in the long-term. Mobike Manchester did not use this rulebook.
