The Cottingley Fairies: A Study in Deception

Press/Media: Public Engagement Activities

Description

Merrick Burrow curated an exhibition to mark the centenary of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's publication of the Cottingley fairies photographs in the December 1920 issue of the Strand Magazine. The exhibition will run throughout 2021 at the Treasures of the Brotherton Library gallery at the University of Leeds, which holds most of the important documents and artefacts in its Special Collections. This is the first time that the materials have been exhibited on public display.

The exhibition was launched with a public talk via Zoom on Thursday 10th December.
