Description

In recent years, the ‘circular economy’ has emerged as a way of thinking about moving towards and beyond sustainability. Alongside the rise of new values and technologies, circular economic thinking is closely aligned with ideas about reducing and reusing scarce resources.Posed as an alternative to the traditional linear economic model that emerged during the industrial revolution – and which uses vast quantities of scarce resources to make, use and dispose of products as waste – a circular economy aims to keep products and resources in use for as long as possible before recovering and regenerating products and materials.
