Research activity in Pharmacy is expanding rapidly as a result of strategic investment by the University, as well as the development of important internal and external collaborators. We undertake world class research across a range of disciplines - from identifying targets for new drugs to combat important diseases like depression through to improving drug delivery methods and developing pharmacy policy and practice. Although research within the Pharmacy Department is multidisciplinary across multiple research groups and institutes,, four main research themes are Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice, Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery, Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Biopolymers Research
