Profile Information

Foregrounding Performance-as-Research and Performance Studies research across a range of disciplines, and including four primary areas of research activity:

  • Improvisation Research Group (IRG)
  • Early Music Research Group (EMRG)
  • Nineteenth-Century Performance Research Group (NCPRG)
  • New Music Performance Research Group (NMPRG)
  • Opera Lab (OL)
  • Mindfulness and Performance Project (MPP)
  • Magic Research Group (MRG)

As a combination of existing centres in separate subject areas, in the short term the Centre will be led by a Directorate of two representatives each from Music and Drama, and covering each of the four areas above. The aim is to establish a single Director after the 2017–2018 academic year.

Fingerprint The fingerprint is based on mining the text of the scientific documents related to the associated persons. Based on that an index of weighted terms is created, which defines the key subjects of research unit
