Biography

Dr Adeline Berry is a queer, transgender, and intersex illustrator, activist and senior research fellow at the University of Huddersfield whose PhD research focused on the life experiences of older intersex people, conducted as part of the MSCA funded INIA research network. Their research interests include healthcare, mental health, families, sex, ageing, disability, social justice, gender, sexuality, sex work, and creative research approaches employing visual arts. Their illustrations have been exhibited and published worldwide, and their art workshops working with marginalised populations have been well-received. They recently finished writing their monograph Intersex, ageing, and intersectionalities which will be published by Routledge. Addy is happily married and lives in Manchester, UK.
