Biography
Alexis is a Senior lecturer in Physiotherapy in the Division of Health and Rehabilitation, he also lectures in the Sports,Exercise and Nutrition programmes in the Division of Health and Wellbeing. Alexis joined the University in 2004 whilst continuing with clinical practice. He qualified as a physiotherapist in 1989 and gained initial experience in the NHS prior to working full time in professional football for 11 years. He held the position of first team physiotherapist at Preston North End, Oldham Athletic and Huddersfield Town football clubs. Alexis continued to work clinically in private practice until 2014. He represented Gibraltar in the 1986 Commonwealth Games.
