Alison joined the University in June 2016 as a Lecturer.
Previously she spent five years teaching professional accountancy modules for CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy), specialising in Financial Accounting, Corporate Reporting and the Strategic Case Study.
Alison qualified as a chartered accountant (CPFA) whilst working for The Audit Commission as an external auditor, where she audited parts of the NHS, local goverment, police and fire services.
Following the completion of Alison's dissertation entitled 'Professional Accountancy Body Accreditation in English Higher Education' in 2018, she was awarded distinction for her MA in Accountancy and Finance.
Alison was awarded first prize in the Business School Research Conference poster, which was based on her dissertation topic.
Alison is currently preparing to submit an article for publication, based on the research completed as part of her dissertation.
