Andrew's research primarily centres on aspects of differential psychology/individual differences, such as personality traits. To this end, he has an active interest in the development and evaluation of psychological measures, and research methods including psychometrics and statistical modelling. His research is also concerned with wellbeing, stress and psychopathology. 

Prior to joining the University of Huddersfield, Andrew worked as a Senior Psychometrician for a Contract Research Organisation, and as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at various universities. He is certified by the British Psychological Society as a Test User of Ability (formerly Level A) and Personality (formerly Level B).

Andrew is keen to supervise students interested in individual differences and/or psychometrics.
