Angela joined the University of Huddersfield as senior lecturer in children’s nursing in the School of Human and Health Sciences in January 2016. Prior to that Angela was a senior lecturer and lecturer, children and young people’s nursing, in the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work and Social Sciences, University of Salford from 1996-2015.
Angela’s contributions to teaching and learning, research and scholarship are underpinned by a clinical career in children’s and adult nursing. She has worked in various practice settings including children’s renal and urology and intensive care prior to embarking on her academic career.
Angela completed a PhD in 2013, Post Graduate Diploma in Education 1998 and an MSc Health Professional Education 2000. She is registered with the NMC as a RGN, RSCN, RNT and is a member of the Children and Young People's Nurse academic forum UK, the Royal College of Nursing anf the University and College Union.
