Biography

Ashley Cusack is a Research Fellow within the Centre for Precision Technologies (CPT) and Engineering Control and Machine Performance (ECMPG) at the University of Huddersfield. Their research and teaching focus is intelligent manufacturing systems, Industrial Internet of Things, and Big Data.

Ashley holds a BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering and Communication Systems from the University of Huddersfield. They also completed a PhD at the University of Huddersfield entitled “Applying Artificial Intelligence Planning to Optimise Heterogeneous Signal Processing for Surface and Dimensional Measurement Systems".

Currently, Ashley is working on several projects collaborating with academics from other universities and industrial partners as part of the Advanced Machinery and Productivity Institute (AMPI).
