Personal profile

Biography

My research interests surround contemporary consumer culture. I am interested in using existentialism, narcissism and postmodernism as theoretical lenses for understanding consumers and consumption, and in particular looking at implications for sustainability. Tourism is my investigative lens.

I joined the University of Huddersfield in June 2014 as a lecturer in marketing. Prior to this, I completed my MSc, and then PhD, at the University of Nottingham, where my research explored the impacts, sustainability management, and marketing of the tourism industry in three small islands using a mixed-methods approach. Before this I studied marketing at Lancaster University.
