PhD projects

I am happy to receive enquiries from prospective PhD students. I supervise research degrees in the areas of nursing history, medical history and women's history. I have particular knowledge and expertise in wartime nursing, particularly the work of nurses during the First World War; and in the history of medical and nursing practice. I have a strong track-record of supervision, having supported eleven PhD students to successful completion.
