Biography
After graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2018 with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Elliot joined the University of Huddersfield's Institute of Railway Research as an Industrial Research Assistant. In this role Elliot has supported the IRR's Research and Enterprise projects for various industry partners in the field of railway engineering. Recent projects have included the design and testing of S&C inspection gauges for Sheffield Supertram, track inspection and monitoring, and assessment of vehicle ride performance. Elliot has expertise in using the IRR's labortatory facilities and recent work has included the testing of a novel wheelslide detection system and track trolley emergency braking system. In addition to these roles Elliot also provides Undergraduate and Post-graduate student project supervision.
