Biography
Finty is a senior lecturer within the Nursing Department, currently acting as Quality and Assessment Lead, covering BSc, MSc, Nursing Associates including routes of Blended Learning and Apprenticeships. Finty also teaches across different health care courses with the specialism in psychotherapies.
Finty has a strong mental health nursing background, with a history of working with adults in community, crisis and in-patient settings. Finty has trained in CBT and has worked clinically as a CBT therapist across various settings and specialised in Trauma Focused CBT.
An NMC teacher, Finty teaches on the BSc and MSc mental health nursing programmes as well as supporting teaching and learning across the wider Department of Nursing.
