Biography
Gareth Hudson is a Newcastle based visual artist and Lecturer in the Moving Image. His work explores human spirituality and exceptional human experience in all of its manifestations, bringing together expansive points of reference from concepts of progress embodied in social, philosophical and scientific developments to the potential of engagement with worlds seen, unseen, and imagined. He works in lens based media , installation, animation and soundscapes. He has exhibited work in over twenty countries and has worked with Saatchi & Saatchi, the BBC, the BFI and MTV as well as completing commissions for numerous festivals and events. His work has been supported by Northern Graduates, Institute of Digital Innovation, The Arts and Humanities Research Council, Newcastle Institute for Creative Arts Practice and Arts Council England.
