Personal profile

Biography

I joined the University of Huddersfield as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in January 2021 and in April 2023 I became a Lecturer in Sport. I was awarded a PhD from the University of Bolton in July 2021. My PhD focused on life skills development and life skills transfer.

As such, my research focuses predominantly on the area of life skills development and life skills transfer through sport. The main aim of my research is to enhance young peoples’ development, health and well-being, using sport as a vehicle to promote these positive outcomes. My current research is investigating how coaches can better promote young people's learning of life skills and investigating if these can be transfered to other areas of life. My future research will aim to develop a programme which can develop key life skills through sport.
