Biography

Gokcay is a Lecturer in Freight Transportation at the Department of Logistics, Marketing, Hospitality and Analytics. He has obtained his PhD degree in Maritime Business Administration.  Prior to taking the lecturer position, he worked as a research assistant for over 5 years (2013-2019). He has publications in leading transportation journals such as Transport Policy and Journal of Transport Geography. Apart from academia, he worked in shipping companies as a shipbroker and ship agent (2006-2008). He also worked as the export manager of a food supplier company (2012-2013).
