Haseeb currently serves as Reader in Marketing, Course Team Leader for UG Marketing programs and Co-Director for the Consumption & Markets research cluster at Huddersfield University Business School. He started his academic career at the University of Leeds, where he completed his PhD in Marketing. His PhD focused on developing ‘relationship quality’ for charity donors. One of his career highlights is being selected as the first academic to serve as a judge for the National Convention on Fundraising’s annual awards. Haseeb hosts an Honorary Fellowship from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. He is currently working towards a National Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy. Haseeb has developed an extensive portfolio in academic experience, across managerial and leadership, enterprise and outreach as well as research and scholarly domains.

Haseeb for instance has been responsible for managing two academic sub-divisions, business and marketing, while serving as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Hull. During this time, he also served as the school TEF lead and Chair of the Ethics, Sustainability and Ethics committee as well as school point of contact for the National Collaborative Outreach Program. He has co/chaired several marketing conferences, both the Academy of Marketing conference and the World Marketing Summit, as well as serving on several journal editorial boards, including the Journal of Philanthropy & Marketing and Psychology & Marketing. Haseeb has been invited as a keynote speaker on various platforms, especially to share insights on inclusive advertising and communications.

His work has been published in various ABS 4 and 3 journals, including in the Journal of Service Research, Public Management Review, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Research, Psychology & Marketing, European Journal of Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Technological Forecasting and Change, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Social Marketing and the Journal of Macro Marketing. Including conference proceedings, Haseeb has over 50 publications. An advocate of responsible marketing, most of his research centres around ethics in marketing or advertising, not for profit marketing and inclusive services research. Recently, he has published a two-part series in the Journal of Macro Marketing on inclusive marketing during pandemics.

Finally, Haseeb has 19 successful PhD supervisions (as primary supervisor), spanning a variety of marketing topics. He enjoys variety in supervision topics in marketing and therefore is open to queries from potential PhD candidates. In 2018, he was ‘campus runner up’ for ‘best post graduate supervisor’.
