After graduation with his BSc degree in Solid Mechanics from Tehran Polytechnic University, Hossein received his MSc degree in applied mechanics from Khajeh Nasir Toosi University in 2002. For 11 years he engaged with different aspects of industrial projects with a majority of FE analysis and design.

In 2013, he started his PhD in Railway Engineering, entitled “Analysis of transient effects of wheel-flats on fatigue crack initiation life of train wheels” and graduated in 2018.

In 2017, he awarded a grant from Iran Ministry of Science, Research and Technology for a sabbatical leave in Technical University of Delft (TUDelft) in The Netherlands. He spent 13 month in Material Science Engineering (MSE) department in TUDelft.  

Hossein joined the Institute of Railway Research in January 2019 as a Research Assistant and is currently working on FE analysis of crossings as a part of T2F project.
