Biography

Jane Wormald is a Senior Lecturer in Education and Professional Development. She is currently on a two year secondment to the Vice Chancellor’s Office to coordinate a HEFCE Catalyst-funded project.

Jane has been the Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Education and Professional Development, tutor on the BA (Hons) Learning Support and Specialist Conference organiser for Cert Ed and PGCE. Jane began her career in contemporary dance and performing arts, subsequently specialising in dance notation. Jane worked for 10 years as performer, FE lecturer and GCSE examiner. Jane was Learning Support Coordinator at the University of Huddersfield for 4 years during which time she began working and studying in the School of Education and Professional Development.

Jane’s current interests are in widening participation in HE, career trajectories and experiences of PT study for mature students, communities of practice in blended learning programme delivery, critical education and inclusive assessment.
