Biography

Joanna Zofia Spyra is a historian working on the Claims Conference-funded project Trawniki: Nexus of the Final Solution led by Professor Caroline Sturdy Colls and based at the Centre of Archaeology, University of Huddersfield.

Joanna Zofia is completing her PhD in history at the University of Bergen, Norway, focusing on the intersection of sexuality, health, and philanthropy in 1930s Argentina. She earned degrees from Jagiellonian University and Cracow University of Economics, as well as a Master’s in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University.
