2008-2009 Network Manager – The Training Gateway, University of York
Managing a HEFCE funded Employer Engagement Project to support Universities in working closely with commercial businesses. With this role, Joanne managed a 1500 member national CPD Network, co-ordinated and led network conferences and facilitated workshops and events. Additionally, Joanne attended national and international exhibitions to promote services to HR Managers and training buyers in the UK and overseas.

2006-2008 Senior Research Fellow, University of Huddersfield
Joanne took the lead research to investigate the nature and incidence of undergraduate’s part time employment leading to the introduction of work based learning modules on undergraduate programmes. Part of the work also resulted in developing progression to HE from non-traditional and work based routes, engaging with employers to provide credited and non-credited courses.
Joanne also developed a range of material such as a reflective practice guide including a skills audit tool kit.

2004-2006 Senior Lecturer, University of Huddersfield
Joanne taught on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses having module leadership responsibilities for Organisational Behaviour, Personal Development and Creativity, Management Skills and Personal Development, Managing People and Performance.
