Biography

Jonathan Binder (BA, MA): Member of the Paxman Research & Innovation Centre.


Jonathan is a Medical Designer at Paxman Coolers Ltd (the Global Leading Experts in Scalp Cooling) and Medical Researcher/ Medical Product Designer at the World’s first Scalp cooling and research innovation centre (Paxman Research & Innovation Centre). This multidisciplinary centre aims to bring Academia, Industry, SME’s and Hospitals together to develop a plethora of Medical devices for aiding in cancer treatments.


Jonathan is undertaking a Part-time PHD on ‘An approach of Mass customisation in cranial anthropology for Medical product development’. His confidential Master’s Thesis co-funded by Paxman Coolers and the Knowledge Transfer Association (Innovate UK) on the ‘Investigation of Additive Manufacturing in New Medical Product Development for Chemotherapy-Induced Alopecia’ was awarded a Distinction by the governing body, a prestigious and rare acclaim for the institute.


Jonathan has 8 years Industrial experience and 5 years part-time academic experience. His main research activities and expertise include New Medical Product Development, Design for manufacture, Design for Additive manufacturing, Design for Regulatory compliance, Chemotherapy-Induced Alopecia and Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy.
