Biography

After graduating with a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Huddersfield, Jordan began to study a PhD under the Vice Chancellors scholarship scheme, investigating the use of Smart Sensors for Enhanced Condition Monitoring of Railway Vehicle subsystems, under the supervision of Professor Simon Iwnicki and Dr Bo Liang. Jordan joined the Institute of Railway Research as a research assistant in 2019 whilst continuing to study part-time towards his PhD. Jordan has a background in the heavy engineering with a strong focus on condition monitoring and emerging trends.
