Biography

Indutrial Fellow at the Institute of Railway at the University of Huddersfield. Holder of a BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lisbon (Instituto Superior Tecnico). More recently, graduated in 2018 with an MSc on Systems Engineering from University of Lisbon with my thesis entitled “Computational Modelling of Train Braking System” under the supervision of Prof António Ramos Andrade and Prof Miguel Afonso Dias de Ayala Botto, Instituto Superior Tecnico. During the MSc, also had the opportunity for an Erasmus Semester at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. Joined the IRR in January 2019. Worked on the delivery of the projects: "Validation of LABRADOR" , "POB - iBB Inteligent Blended Braking Approach" and "Preparation of High-Speed pantogaph Rig". Developing a PhD thesis on "Development of Methodologies for Pantograph-Catenary Testing, Modelling and Real-Time Dynamic Analysis"
